EIBIR

The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non-profit research organisation dedicated to the coordination of research projects. It aims to support the development of biomedical imaging technologies and the dissemination of knowledge. It was established on the initiative of The European Society of Radiology (ESR) in 2006 and funded by the European Commission within Framework Programme 6.

Contribution to PreciseOnco

EIBIR plays a central role in driving communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement, leading Work Package 6 – Communication, dissemination and exploitation. EIBIR is responsible for ensuring broad project visibility by developing and implementing a comprehensive dissemination and outreach strategy, including scientific dissemination. EIBIR will support also the project’s capacity building for clinicians and end-users.

Team

Margherita Bruni

Margherita Bruni holds an MSc in Advanced Biotechnology from the University of Pavia, Italy. She has extensive experience in wet-lab research, with particular expertise in structural biology and enzyme characterization. Over the course of her career, she has expanded her focus to the management of EU-funded projects in the fields of digital health and healthcare innovation, supporting SMEs in the development of impactful and innovative solutions.

Katharina Krischak

Katharina Krischak is a Senior Project Manager at EIBIR. She has over 10 years of experience in managing and disseminating the results of EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020 and COST actions.

Katharina is currently involved in the coordination and dissemination of several projects. She co-leads the coordination of the AI-POD project and serves as work package leader for dissemination. She serves as project manager of the the ENDOMIX project and leads its dissemination activities. She also acts as  work package leader for dissemination for the IHI project SHERPA and manages the ESR Research Seed Grant programme. In addition, she serves as association manager of the International Society for Strategic Studies in Radiology (IS3R).
